Liska Yamada is a classically trained harpist with over twenty years of experience as a performing artist. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in music from the University of Arizona and a Master of Music in Harp Performance and Pedagogy from the prestigious Peabody Conservatory.
Most recently, Liska can be seen performing on Season 8 episode 9 of the hit show Selling Sunset. She can also be heard and seen performing her arrangement of “Don’t Fear the Reaper” on the finale episode of the 2023 Peacock Show Mrs. Davis. Other recent performances in Los Angeles include Grammy Award winning artists Robert Glasper and Steve Lacy.
She is best know for her work with the acclaimed pop artist, Melanie Martinez. In October 2019, Liska joined Melanie’s band for the K-12 Tour. Liska also appears on Episode 3 - Recess with Melanie Martinez, part of the collaborative playlist, Extra Credit, from Melanie Martinez and YouTube Music.
Liska has been featured in a variety of live broadcasts from a performance with RCA artist, Miguel, at the 2018 BET Awards to an appearance on the ABC television show Dancing with the Stars where she can be heard playing “Swan Lake”.
In 2015, Liska relocated to Los Angeles, where she resides with her orange tabby, Antonio. She teaches harp lessons and performs throughout California whenever her touring schedule allows.
